Meet Desiree

Hey y’all, I’m Desiree!

I am just a woman chasing after God’s heart, even though I’m no where near perfect, thankfully our Savior is. I am a 27 year old accountant living in the great state of Texas and I attend a local non-denominational church. I love all kinds of Christian music, from contemporary to southern gospel, and I love country music. At the center of my heart is a great love for books. Reading has been a love of mine since I was able to pick up a book! Since my salvation I have replaced a love for worldly novels with a love for Christian fiction and Christian non-fiction books. God has used this love for reading to teach me many things and is one of the reasons why I started this blog. I am fiercely emotional, love with all I have, and have a heart for seeing women live out biblical womanhood. I hope we become the best of friends!

With Love,

About With Willing Hands

During prayer one night God spoke to me and said, ” My Child, Do my work.” I asked Him how He wanted me to do this, He simply said “Write.” Now I’ve always been afraid of writing. It doesn’t come naturally to me and has always given me anxiety, but GOD! Through the power of the Holy Spirit I have been empowered to write. To first write on this blog, and to eventually write a book. When I prayed to ask if writing a blog is what He had in mind for me, The Lord gave me Proverbs 31:13.

She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. Proverbs 31:13 ESV (emphasis mine)

The words with willing hands stood out boldly to me. God spoke through those words telling me He wanted me to work willingly with my hands, doing any work He sets before me. Hence the blog was born! When it came to choosing a topic I had no doubts about what to write about. God has been speaking to my heart about biblical womanhood and taking me consistently back to Proverbs 31 in my quiet times. Becoming a Proverbs 31 woman is near and dear to my heart. I want to be the woman and the future wife God has called me to be. In our generation biblical womanhood is frowned upon, even by many Christians. However God’s word is always relevant and therefore I want to show women of all ages that biblical womanhood is still what God calls us to! So thank you for joining me on this calling God has placed upon my life and I hope you leave this blog encouraged!
